DAY 2: PHNOM PENH – BATTAMBANG

Wat Phnom is an artificial hill on top of which stands a pagoda. Legend has it that a woman named Mrs. Penh found Buddha relics there. The city kept the name Mrs. Penh preceded by the word Phnom, which means hill in Khmer. It was built in the 14th century to house four bronze and one stone Buddha statues on a 27 m high wooded mound.

The National Museum of Phnom Penh. Located near the Royal Palace, the National Museum is well worth a visit. DAY 3: BATTAMBANG – SIEM REAP
