    DAY 1. ARRIVAL LOS ANGELES

     

    Arrival in Los Angeles. Meet and greet at the airport by our local French-speaking guide. Explore the Pacific coast and the world-famous beaches of Los Angeles: Santa Monica, Venice, and more. Then, transfer to the hotel by luxury coach.

    DAY 2. LOS ANGELES

    Visit the "City of Angels": Downtown Los Angeles, the city's business center, the residential neighborhood of Beverly Hills, Sunset Blvd, Hollywood Blvd and its "Walk of Fame," the TCL Graumann's Chinese Theatre with its star-studded floor, and the Dolby Theatre, which hosts the annual Academy Awards ceremony.

    Photo stop at the Griffith Observatory, which offers a panoramic view from downtown Los Angeles to the Pacific Ocean and Santa Monica. This site also offers a breathtaking view of the famous Hollywood sign.

    DAY 3. LOS ANGELES – LAUGHLIN

     

    Breakfast

     

    Departure for Barstow via Freeway 15 and crossing the Mojave Desert, also called the High Desert due to its altitude, which often exceeds 1,800 meters. The desert landscape is dotted with dry lakes and sparse vegetation.

     

    Lunch

     

    Visit the ghost town of Calico: a former silver mine restored in 1950. A western atmosphere with wooden houses and saloons! It's in the Mojave Desert that some say they still regularly see the ghosts of the Gold Rush pioneers.

     

     

    Continue to Laughlin, "Little Las Vegas." There, you'll discover numerous casinos nestled on the banks and horse shoe bend of the Colorado River.

    DAY 4. LAUGHLIN – FLAGSTAFF

     

    Breakfast

    Departure for the Kaibab Forest. Spectacular landscapes, lined with red rocks, a filming location for westerns. You will take a stretch of the legendary Route 66, which leads from Chicago to Los Angeles and crosses eight states from east to west. It was heavily used in the 1930s and 1950s, and it was here that the first motels and...fast food restaurants were built!

    Visit and explore Grand Canyon National Park, considered one of the Seven Wonders of the World, and certainly the most impressive natural geological museum in the world. Located at an altitude of 2,125 meters, the Grand Canyon measures between 1.5 km and 29 km from one bank to the other. It is the result of millions of years of erosion. The Colorado River flows more than 1,500 meters below. Every minute of the day, the light changes the colors and shapes of this magnificent spectacle. Various vantage points offer views of the south rim of this magnificent canyon.

     

     

    Optional: 25- to 30-minute helicopter tour of the Grand Canyon. A magical flight over the world's most famous geological formation and its crowning glory, the Colorado River.

    DAY 5. FLAGSTAFF – PAGE

    Visit Monument Valley National Park. You'll discover stunning reddish-brown rock formations emerging from the desert expanse, alternating between sand dunes and natural arches. These strange shapes were first introduced to the public by a 1938 John Ford Western. Since then, many other films have been filmed there, such as "Ride on a Horse" and Walt Disney's "The Living Desert." Monument Valley belongs to the Navajo Indians, who are responsible for preserving and administering this unique place.

    DAY 6. PAGE – BRYCE

     

    Breakfast

     

    Discover Horseshoe Bend, literally a horseshoe bend. A hike that will take you to meet the Colorado River in a magnificent setting.

     

    Visit Antelope Canyon. Accompanied by a Navajo guide, you will explore this fascinating canyon on foot, an almost surreal place. Erosion and wind have carved a fairly narrow and sometimes very deep crevasse in the sandstone. You will be amazed by the mysterious beauty of this spectacular site. The superb colors of the strata will delight amateur and professional photographers alike. An imposing and captivating site!

     

     

    Lunch

     

    Visit Bryce Canyon National Park, characterized by its magical landscapes and nicknamed "the rocks resembling men" by the Native Americans. This park offers magnificent amphitheaters 300 to 400 meters deep, filled with gigantic walls, copper-plated and jagged organ pipes, and majestic towers sculpted by the natural forces of erosion.

    DAY 7. BRYCE – LAS VEGAS

     

    Breakfast

     

    Visit Zion National Park, the oldest in Utah. A narrow, winding canyon known for its gigantic pink, red, and white sandstone formations.

    Departure for Nevada and Las Vegas. "Sin City," the city of all vices, lies in the middle of the Nevada desert like a huge amusement park for adults!

    DAY 8. LAS VEGAS

    Departure to explore the Hoover Dam, an inspiring symbol of American engineering, built during the Great Depression as the largest dam construction project in the world at the time.     Continue to Fresno, crossing California's fertile Central Valley. You will pass orange groves, melon fields, and strawberry fields, depending on the season.

    DAY 11: FRESNO – SAN FRANCISCO

    Visit Sequoia National Park in the heart of the Sierra Nevada. There, you'll discover the highest peak in the United States, Mount Whitney (4,418 m). You'll visit the Giant Forest, home to an exceptionally dense population of giant sequoias, this ancient tree that covered much of the planet a few million years ago.

    Departure for San Francisco. "What I like best about San Francisco is San Francisco," said Frank Lloyd Wright; a way of saying that there is no museum in the city worth the trip alone; no architecture innovative enough to make it a historic monument. Or rather, these museums, this architecture, fade before the charm of San Francisco, a miracle of gentleness in the midst of American gigantism.
